Facts about the treaty of waitangi – the treaty of waitangi was signed on february 6, 1840, at waitangi in the bay of islands. te tiriti o waitangi was signed at waitangi in the bay of islands by captain william hobson. several english residents, and between 43 and 46 maori rangatira.

what was the treaty of waitangi for 5 years – it is an agreement , an exchange of promises, between the british crown and a group of about 500 maori people rangatira, the british and maori people agreed on land and trade arrangements. the maori people had the right to fair trade deals with european settlers.

what is the treaty of waitangi – the treaty of waitangi is the founding document of new zealand, it is an agreement entered into by representatives of the crown and also maori iwi (tribes) and also hapu (sub-tribes), it is also named after the place of the bay islands where the treaty was first signed on the 6 of february, 1840

Poi Making

Today me and my class went to Te Oro and made poi first of all we had to cut our foams then we had to plat the strings and then we had to cut the strings into 30 rows. then we have to use a rubbish bag and cover the poi this is how it looks like.
